Our Girl,

Nala

Nala was placed with our office through Guide Dogs of America/Tender Loving Canines, which provides highly trained service and facility dogs to those in need. She was trained at Mule Creek State Prison through the POOCH (Prisoners Overcoming Obstacles Creating Hope) Program, where she learned over 40 cues during a two-year program.

As a certified facility dog at the San Joaquin County Family Justice Center, Nala provides comfort and support to victims and survivors of violence and abuse. Alongside her handler, Laura, she uses both playful and calming cues to ease stress and bring a sense of safety and connection.

Nala is a cherished part of our team,

spreading comfort and joy to

everyone she meets.
